Bangkok - Discovering the Old City
(Rattanakosin Island)

The starting point is our Segway Tour Thailand Shop at the Maharaj pier. Your tour begins with a 30-minute training session to learn all the basics of controlling the Segway PT.

Once under way, go into Thammasat University and go out from its Phra-a-thit exit to the foot of the Phra Pinklao Bridge. Then glide through Chao Phraya waterfront boardwalk to reach the Santi Chaiprakarn Park and stopover at its historical Phra Sumen Fort. Here, you can take a cool deep breath and have photo opportunities with the Rama 8 Bridge as stunning background.

Next, glide along Phra-a-thit Road and go further to discover one of Bangkok’s most favorite tourist accommodation zone and restaurants within Soi Chanasongkram and then Soi Rambutri. Pass through Wat Chanasongkram and proceed to world-famous backpackers’street, Khaosan Road. Have some drink and see what’s going on. You will be amazed!

Move on to the Kok Wua Intersection and glide along Ratchadamnoen Klang Road toward Royal Hotel, then to The Supreme Court Building. Go ahead through Lak Muang Road to experience astonishing view of the City Pillar Shrine (San Lak Muang), the Royal Ground Field (Sanam Luang) and the Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phrakaeo).

Fun ride further, seeing the sights of the Ministry of Defence’s Main Building and Saranrom Royal Garden. Then glide back to Sanam Luang and go round the Royal Garden before running back to Maharaj Road. End your journey at our shop.

Throughout the trip, the guide will provide both the history and anecdotes surrounding the sites and makes sure plenty of photo opportunities are available. Changes in tour route may be necessary due to construction and security related issues.

Important Notes:
• The Segway PT is appropriate for virtually anyone 12 and older. For those under 18 must have a parent’s or guardian’s consent, and must be accompanied by an adult.
• The Segway PT is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds (45 kilograms) or over 265 pounds (120 kilograms).
• Gliders should have the physical ability to make motions such as climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of handrail.
• Also, gliders should be able to operate the steering control with his or her hands.
• Gliders are suggested to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. No high heels, flip flops or sandals.
• Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to ride.
• Unfortunately, pregnant women will not be permitted to participate.
• All riders are required to wear helmets and respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes and cars for a safe enjoyable ride.
• Gliders are required to sign the tour liability waiver.
• Reservation is recommended as group size is limited to 8 persons.
• Guests must arrive 15 minutes before scheduled tour time to check in and start training on time! Anyone arriving late will NOT be allowed to join the tour group that has already started training. Safety and complete training for all of our guests are our first priority.
• Prices are per person, unless otherwise specified. All transactions are in Thai Baht. All prices and availability are subject to change without prior notice. Tour prices or availability are NOT guaranteed until full payment is received and confirmation provided.
• It is your responsibility to be at the designated tour location on the correct date. Please check your confirmation carefully. No refund for no-shows.
• If special events, parades, festivals, athletic events or construction are in our area, which cause the tour cannot be operated. We will inform you in advance for the rescheduling.
